HOLIDAY TRAIL OF LIGHTS AT LAKE HOPE STATE PARK -  Every night in December, 5:30 P.M. to 10:30 P.M.  Hike through the forest to view a 100,000+ light display, including animated scenes, decorated trees and landscape lighting. Extra activities on weekends. Start at the Nature Center. Cost: Free.

ENGLISH CHRISTMAS DINNER - Date(s): December 12th, 2008 - December 18th, 2008.  Enjoy a traditional English Christmas Dinner at Shaw's. Baked Oysters on half-shell, English Rib of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, Brussel Sprouts, and Victorian Plum Pudding with Brandied Hard Sauce. Cost: Varies. Time: Available at Dinner and all day Sunday.

CHRISTMAS IN ASH CAVE - Date: December 13th, 2008. Cost: Free. Time: 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Step away from the hectic holiday season and come bundled for the weather while enjoying a lighted stroll back to Ash Cave. Once you arrive at the cave, warm with refreshments by an open fire. Listen to or join with our carolers, have the kids visit with an old fashioned Santa or help to decorate our Christmas tree for wildlife.

LATE NIGHT LOGAN - Date(s): The 1st Saturday of every month. Cost: Free. Time: 5:00pm - 11:00pm. Downtown merchants, restaurants, art and entertainment venues stay open for the evening on the first Saturday of each month. A great mix of eclectic music performances, art exhibits, adventures in good eating and great shopping specials makes for an enjoyable evening in a friendly, small town.

A BEAUTIFUL GIFT TO EACH OTHER

This touching story told by James and Rachel of Columbus, Ohio, describes their winter's evening at Old Man's Cave Chalets.  The trip was a Christmas present they had given each other. They relished the beauty of the snowfall in the hills and the relaxation the Falls Cabin offered. Their only disappointment was that they could stay just one night...


As Christmas presents to one another, my boyfriend and I came to the Falls cabin for a night....now we are wishing we could stay for a couple more! We checked in on the first of the year and then went to Old Man's Cave. It was snowing and beautiful! We were there for about an hour and then anxious to come back here, relax, and make a delicious dinner. We are already thinking of coming back this spring or summer with a couple of friends. These cabins seem to be some of the nicest and well kept in the area! We enjoyed our short stay and hope you do as well!! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, & ..........GO BUCKS!!


Thank you James & Rachel, for reminding us that winter is a beautiful season here at OMCC. The air is crisp and clean, and the deer and wildlife are more easily seen after the leaves have fallen. We hope you make it back soon for another night or two!  And, Hang On Sloopy!
