Hocking Hills Cabin Reviews

LOVE this A-Frame!  Our kids (8 of them..plus two daughters-in-law) gave us a gift certificate for $250.00 for Christmas – what a great gift….plus $50 toward dinner at the Inn. We had a great time away these past two days…we took a 3 mile hike in 25 degree temperatures at Old Man’s Cave, a couple of movies, and a few times in the hot tub and some simple cooked meals….plus peace and quiet. It was a perfect getaway.  This is a well run facility, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings….we will be back! I hope everyone following us has a lovely time as well!!

We went to Hocking Hills on a Hiking trip to celebrate my Big 30th with my husband. We stayed at Old Man’s Cave Chalet for 2 nights in one of their amazing “A Frame” cabins! All I can say is WOW! The place is so clean and the ambiance is just so wonderful! Everything in it works perfectly. It has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. A fireplace. A kitchenette that is so functional and has “everything” that you will need to make a meal! Plates, coffee cups, glasses, pots and pans! Even can openner, chopping board, dish towels and dish soap! I cooked breakfast and we used the charcoal griller on our first night to grill some salmon and sausage for dinner! The hot tub is amazing!(I have to say though that the temperature could be warmer… Our tub only went up to 90deg hot) but it’s no deal breaker at all. The customer service was phenomenal! You can even rent free DVD movies from them but the TV does come with cable You can buy firewood for like $5 from them. This place is conveniently located very closely to Old Man’s cave, cedar falls and ash cave! I am definitely staying at this place again! You guys will absolutely love it!

WE WERE ABSOLUTELY PLEASED WITH OUR STAY AT ALPINE CABIN FOR 3 NIGHTS OVER MY DAUGHTER’S SPRING BREAK. THE CABIN WAS VERY CLEAN AND SPACIOUS. OUR TWO DOGS FELT VERY AT HOME. THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY HELPFUL. THE CLOSE PROXIMITY TO OLD MAN’S CAVE, CEDAR FALLS, AND ROCK HOUSE WAS PERFECT. WE ARE ALREADY PLANNING OUR NEXT TRIP IN THE FALL. WE WOULD BRING FRIENDS AND/OR FAMILY AND STAY AT OLD MAN’S CAVE CHALETS AGAIN.

The customer service was great! We only stayed one night, but the cabin was very relaxing. We arrived a little early and we felt at home immediately at the check-in as they welcomed us in while they made sure the cabin was ready. The cabin was clean and well stocked as we had forgot a wine bottle opener and were very pleased to find one there. The only down side is there is two cabins relatively close, but during the summer you probably wouldn’t be able to see them. All-in-all, a very relaxing and romantic weekend that will have us coming back.
